How old are you?
I’m 37, living in Lamoine with my wife and almost 1-year-old (who I played for the guitar solo).
Where are you from?
I’m originally from New Jersey, but we got out just in time…two decades ago.
What is your musical background? (How long have you been singing? Play an instrument?)
I played a mean Hot Cross Buns on the trombone in 5th grade, but that lasted about a month. I taught myself how to play drums when I was 16, and have been playing since.
Now, as far as the singing––I’m not a real singer. I’m an actor and have been in lots of musicals, so I learned early on how to BS the singing portion. With enough spandex and a high enough falsetto, the preposterous spectacle diverts attention from the truly subpar vocals I possess. It even led me to be featured on American Idol as one of the weirdos. Simon really is an asshole in real life.
What do you do for a job?
I’m a video producer, photographer, and actor in real life.
Who is your biggest musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspiration, if I were to pick one, would have to be Devo.
Anything you’d like to say of add to your bio?
To put it simply, I have a “Karaoke Voice.” That’s why I became a karaoke junkie years ago. I even used to karaoke-hop, sometimes hitting three or four different karaoke bars in a night, in full costume, of course.
*Bonus: How did you hear about Quarantine Karaoke?
I was invited to the Quarantine Karaoke page by a friend, and the rest is history!
